A persons word. Can it honestly be considered a promise? Without the words “I promise” can you expect them to do as they say believe what they say? I’ll change, I’ll stop, the only time is when… are these all empty promises only to get our hopes up? It’s amazing how upset or let down we feel when what they say isn’t actually happening. People go back on their words so often, myself included. It feels like there are so many empty promises going around that I find myself being skeptical about the words coming from everyone. I’ve lost trust in myself and others, what an amazing way to live huh?
